Vexcel's Proton Telemetry processing system combines state-of-the-art technology with Vexcel's long-standing experience in the remote sensing and telemetry business to create an unprecendented capability for satellite ground stations, satellite manufacturers, and missile range operators. The Proton system supports import and export streaming data rates to 800 Mbps and fully selectable and programmable telemetry processing to the same rate.
Proton operates on industry-standard economical PCs with the Linux operating system. Each server can have multiple Proton cards installed. Proton's software system supports a Java-based intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) and a fully documented C++ Application Programmer's Interface (API) for control. The web-based GUI allows the system to be controlled or monitored from remote locations.
